Compact Bulldog Bone

Hello to all, i'm curious as to where i can purchase one of these compact bulldog bone multiscenders? I've climbed ddrt and srt, srt using a rope wrench, but i find it's so bulky and would love to give this a try. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

You get them from Surveyor, the chap in the previous post to yours. I love mine. It is a remarkable device, pure genius.

Just touch his picture above and it will take you to his profile page. There will be an option to Start a conversation, press that.

Been running the bone on drenaline for the last two weeks, it's just as good as the km max is but it's a bit easier on the hands and more supple, a hair more stretch tho.
The slaice is nice, as is the price....
Less than $115 for 150' with the eye.

Hey everyone!
I’m not sure but I think this is my first post.
Been climbing on the BDB in the PNW for about 6 months . . .
Hey there Emi, welcome to the Buzz. I am just below you down Stateside in the San Juan Islands. Several other Buzz'ards here in the general area also. Some of us are rec climbers, not pro arborists, but it seems to be a growing pursuit here in the PNW. And no wonder, since we have some absolutely humongous trees out here.

Where are you finding that price, please?

Mike I see a key ring on the RW, a shackle on the Bone, and a wire rope thimble on the RR ?
I notice a Japanese Bone user using a small quick link as his tending point.

Yup, You got it. All work quite well for me.

Shackle works great for your first version of the adjustable bulldog. I also have it set so the shackle cannot flop forward and get in the way, it only moves to the straight up position for tending

IMG_8616.webp IMG_8617.webp IMG_8618.webp IMG_8621.webp IMG_8622.webp On the subject of tending points.....I've been wondering about the best way to tend the stubby bone - the upper arm is too stubby to accomodate the D ring I was used to on the standard bone. I just had a rummage around in a box of bits and found an old lockjack that I dismantled to get the teardrop attachment off. Drilled it out to the right size to fit the bone and put it on as in the pictures. Seems pretty neat to me, any reason to think this might be a terrible idea?

Nice concept! The flopping might be annoying, but it looks like your added part was made purposely to not hurt the rope.

That Tending point looks OK to me. I have wondered if the lockjack swivel part would fit at the bottom attach point, but have never had one to try.
Is the stubby Bone working well for you, and if so what rope are your using? @skello Thanks Gordon

Hey so after 2 years of basically using this exclusively almost every day I’m starting to have it slip on my well worn tachyon rope that it previously worked perfect with. Can I just flip the spine? Do I need to file a groove in?

And again, thanks Gordon; srt without easy mid line attach-ability is like only halfway there. Wish I could calculate how much time and effort that single feature has saved me!

It's like you've just read my mind with this question stheis... I finally wanted to ask a question along the lines of this..

Mine came with a pre grooved spine, and on average I've only used mine about once a week for 2 years - at that rate it might take around 14 years to wear out - ha!

I am curious to know of others spine wear rates though? - and how many times they've 'flipped' the spine? - and whether they had to pre groove it? Ect

Also wonder whether the newer aluminum spines will have a faster wear rate? - and how fast that may happen?
