Compact Bulldog Bone

Time is the issue. I decided that two Bones were more versatile and worked better then the one double sided Bone I was playing with.
I have been interested in a double sided device for years now. and had a doubled sided OAR I called a "double tree"

It was a monster. The links are each size 80 (the same as the stock Bone)

You see how the links run through the arms? The three arm OAR in the drop test above was the same sort of open ended link design, but used the same smaller size links that the Wishbone uses,
and stood up to 200lbs dropped as you see in the drop test video.

Gordon forgive my link math but to keep this simple....I think the reference was to using 2 ropes on 1 side. Imagine instead of an 80 link you used a double wide 80 link. 2 rope when needed but still the functionality of a single link and a single rope.

Time is the issue. I have most of the raw material for just such a device. But I cannot tell you how many ideas work great in theory, but not in practice.

Lol, I hear you Gordon. I bought all the raw materials to make my own version of bones about a year ago. Yousee how well that went. A year later I just bought 2 of them from you.

U could these parts as a package to make the wide bone. I would buy those parts in a heart beat and test it out for u.

Ummmm....wishbones are typically intentionally broken. Not the association I would want with PPE.
Hmmmm...funny how Poison Ivy is one of the best selling ropes. Definitely not something I want to come in contact with while climbing, but I'll climb on that rope all day long. TL says that's bad logic :)

Lol, raw materials Tyler. Nothing is machined and the links are not the cotter pin style. I do have single and double links though. If you want the links to screw around with though Tyler just pm me your address. I'm pretty sure I am heading to the Harrisburg show and I don't think your to far out of the way.

Well the Bone is running a dream now on a clean rope. I am presently doing a job with 48 Mature Beech trees. Various states of decline, some removal but a lot of deadwooding for safety etc.

I had the go pro with me yesterday so got a bit of footage of the work and the bone in action. Hope you like it, it isn't the usual crash bash type video but a more relaxed pace. The whole climb was 21 minutes, so not a lot of work but here it is and hope you like it.

Slate away.
