Compact Bulldog Bone

Yeah, well put Oceans. I have never seen inside Platinum rope, but I have a pretty darned good picture of what I'd see if I cut one open now. I'd probably say, "What the...?
Sounds like this is not a good work positioning line and it'll "lump up" like a snake that hasn't digested his food yet.
Is this only with mechanicals/srt?

Depends where you cut it. LOL! If anyone could do a Class 1, 24s Double Braid eye splice with only 2' of rope, you could actually put an eye in the right spot on Platinum.

Pretty much, just not a very pronounced lump. It's barely perceivable, but enough to stop a hitch. I would say it would behave the same pretty much regardless of being on a mechanical device or a hitch. Personally, when I noticed it, it was with my lanyard in SRT mode. I never really noticed it to any degree on a multiscender, but also didn't want to find out mid-climb somehow.

Platinum is great rope for its intended application, but I've found better ropes for Work Positioning. I'm CERTAIN that other people's results will vary. :)

First day out on the bone today after messing around with it for the first time over the weekend. I think I may be in love this piece of gear it opened up a lot of options with my climbing. I get to retire the zigzag today.

Boned the hell out of a Walnut and Maple today. This one piece of gear really takes my climbing and productivity to a whole new level. Gordon deserves a Nobel Peace Prize or something.
Glad you bomed the hell out of em..didn't get boned in the eye right? I ask cause there's a logical cool cat on here that did get boned in the face. ;)
