Tuebor, you should add that to macswan's Bones Brigade album! http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/media/albums/bones-brigade.3/![]()
Bone on Prism.
5/8" bollard at 170 lbs. Held well. Slow descent worked fine. A quicker descent turned into a controlled glide, easily stopped with a slight nudge upward on the top arm. After a few rides, I got the hang of lightly modulating pressure on the top arm with my thumb and index finger to control the speed.
I picked it up at Bartlett in Michigan last weekend during their open house, courtesy of Jason Diehl from Kentucky. He said it's a dream to splice.i would really enjoy splicing that...
I saw the new Prism on treestuff today. Pretty. I'm not sure why Yale has so many color versions of the same rope.
I find the 3/4" bollard gives me the best performance on the Yale 11.7's.....no "controlled glide", easy release and speed control.
I feel unsafe with anything less than 12.5. I ordered 11.7mm Cougar Blue cordage and didn't work at all with my BdB. Also I noticed that wasn't even round but flattened for the whole length...Lucky I could give it back and exchange it with Vortex 12.7, it will take a while to receive it though. Not sure how this one is going to match with my bone but considering that the BdB was built to work with fat ropes (I'm using it with a 13mm), I guess it's gonna be OK...I haven't gotten around to changing bollards yet but I should since nearly everything I have is 11.7. The Bone seemed to grip this better than Poison Hi-vy, even though it feels slightly thinner. Maybe because it's new?
11 mm all day, every day.I feel unsafe with anything less than 12.5.
For you maybe.11 mm all day, every day.![]()
Yeah, right?!For you maybe.
I wrestled at 103 Ibs. up until my junior year. His day will come, I graduated high school at 114lbs. Now I'm slighty more, lol.
I sent it back just because my BdB creeps on it even with the bigger bollard on top and another one below...plus when you release the upper arms even slowly you get into a free fall...it was designed for fatter ropes and I really don't mind either...Cougar and other ropes sometimes come flat as they have been stored on a reel.
Not a problem, just use the rope and get on with it.
Dude I was gonna joke earlier that i am probly double your weight. And it's true! Or at least close enough for government workI wrestled at 103 Ibs. up until my junior year.

It's nice to work with Tyler at cvts, when we practice rescue, all we have to do is bring down a "My Buddy and Me"11 mm all day, every day.![]()
