CMC HD Arbor Pro Spider Lift

Great idea...poor follow through i guess. Have a few buddies around me that bought new ones and had problems up the wazoo...and VERY slow parts delivery...shouldn't take 2 weeks for filters. Both also had bugs. Why isnt cmc on here responding when they pay to advertise?
We have a Arbropro 60hd and definitely go places where a bucket truck can not. As you mentioned just be careful turning if you have to and you will not leave any marks in the lawn. It will fit threw a 36 inch wide gate as well. If you have to go over any stumps or rocks just make sure to check the clearance. Ours says it has 7 inches in the manual but in reality it’s only 3-31/2 inches on a good day. We also use plywood on the days after a heavy rain and it holds up just fine. Hope this helps. Good luck to you
320 hrs on my cmc 83 , sensor problems ($1800 for one encoder) and a hydraulic hose just failed. It's from the basket through the booms to the main valve, I'm guessing around a 100 feet long. How much social media do I use to get a call back or another new machine?

Curious to know if the hose blew because of rubbing on a weld?

The hose blew near the basket, it was not touching any weld or metal. The hose had no wear marks on it. Usually when a hose blows like this it's because it is old or made of poor quality. I know hydraulic hoses fail but I've been around a lot equipment with high-pressure hydraulics and this hydraulic hose should not have failed on this newer machine. I am 6 months past my 1 year warranty.

Don't know how these are designed, but most traditional Aerial lifts are sectioned out so one failer at the basket doesn't require a whole line change.. that should have been done I would hope the engineers thought of that one.

Honestly just the post on here got their attention. Our “new” lift has been a lot better only 3 break downs in less then a year. First was an hydraulic fitting that cam lose and fell off. No mater what we tried we couldn’t get it back on. CMC with some sarcasm couldn’t believe it and sent one of their guys to fix it. I give this guy they sent so much respect he tried for 2-3 hours before talking it with him to the shop to be fixed. Few months go by and it will not fold up. We had to manually fold it and they took it back to their shop for a new computer. Few more months and hydroelectric hose to level the bucket blows. 483 hours. They send an outside company to fix on Wednesday they can’t fix it. Boom has to come apart to replace line. Again they come to take lift with no trailer on Thursday. I’m told by the driver it will be back Friday which I call and ask service if that is true. Service manager says says it will be back on Saturday. Saturday morning I call to see what time and they are closed on Saturdays come to find out. Monday 8am I received a call that it’s on it’s way from 2hours 30 minutes away. 5:30pm it shows up.

Hey folks, we wanted to follow-up to this. Back in September when dokotreepro called us we were able to help the customer get up and running quickly and were able to help get him everything he needed to get his machine up and running again.

They have an advertisement for the 60 HD in TCI magazine that says “no computers”

What’s up with that??

Sorry you are having troubles
The 60HD+ Arbor Pro does not have a computer. The item that he is referencing was the radio receiver for the remote control. The lift comes with a wire that you can use to plug the remote into in the case where there is a problem with the radio system. It is very rare that there is a problem with the radio remotes, but of course like any component on a machine it's possible for it to go bad. And that's why there is a warranty to handle it in case it does go bad. In addition, on new machines today we include a second complete wired control panel in the basket that you can use all functions from as well as the radio remote control for use on the ground.

If anyone needs help with their lift we offer 24/7 phone support. All you have to do is call our main telephone number and a technician is available to help if needed. We are also slowly building out our dealer network so there is local dealer support regionally. Contact us if you are looking for someone local to support you!

First Time I can remember posting on here, I have an OMME 2750 and PB18.90, 90' and 60' working heights. All these machines are very similar to one another, most manufactures in Europe have larger line ups, but the units imported are the most popular or most suited for american market. Its a long learning curve compared to a bucket truck. Any unit you buy will have problems period. Most problems are operator related, only one person runs our 90' and if someone else gets in it he is there. You need to take the time to understand these units, how they work, understand the reasons these units have as many sensors as they do, how you can override safeties to bring unit down for example. these units are not mini skids with a lift on top....they are purpose built as a lift. tracks or trailer is added to get it to the jobsite. They can destroy a lawn if you are careless....but with some mats you can go places no bucket truck could ever get and do it in the rain. Its scary to spend 150k ill admit myself but when you see what these units can do....its amazing. Im in the market for another lift after 2.5 years of using them. I like the easylift 87-48 or cmc 83hd But now im looking at 101/48 or cmc92hd. these larger units excel with the reach, 72' and 60' units are a great help awesome to have around but if you only have one....83 be the smallest id buy.

If anyone wants to know anything about the omme or platform basket let me know tracked lifts has been a great partner and a wealth of knowledge, and if you can chime in on easy lift or cmc id appreciate it, Thanks Jim

I am demoing a cmc 83 tomorrow and a friend just bought an ez lift that I will try out as well. I will let you know how it goes.
Why are you considering other brands if you are happy with the units from the manufacturer you have.

they really dont offer a unit that compares....the 2750 omme we already have, 87-48 and 83hd both go below grade and are much lighter in weight.
Jamie from CMC just left this afternoon, i was impressed with 83hd i thought unit was very fast, stable, features it had make set up quicker, not all features i thought were needed like driving from basket. all these units now have an alarm that sounds when you hit any down function. Ive talked to alot of helpful people and honestly can say its a tough one, im going to go back and see the 87-48 a guy 30 minutes from me has tomorrow.
Didn't think to take a picture to share but here are 2 my wife took

I am in the market for a lift and have talked to Cmc and UpEquip. It’s crazy these companies want you to spend $100k but won’t bring you a demo to try on your own job. Just found another company called IMER and they bought me a 62 foot work height machine yesterday. Very nice machine and heavily built. They are the only ones that offered to demo me a machine. Looks like i might be giving them my business.

I took delivery of a CMC 72HD Arb Pro three months ago just before their big open house event. First off there was a problem (delivery was Friday) the machine unloaded fine flew fine for the hands on instruction (six hours long Nelson was a great guy to work with) but upon folding it back up the right side tracks wouldn't drive. Tuesday a tech arrived from Boston to fix the problem after several hours of trouble shooting it came down to a parts label that was not removed from the hydro tank magnet and had migrated its way thru the hose and blocked the input side to the drive motor. A little air and cleaning out the hydro tank and back up and running. I was on a multi day job first real cold we have had and one of the outrigger sensors had frozen closed unscrewed it brought it in the house, thawed it out, a squirt of dry silicone ( what the techs recommended) back up and running.

All I can say is that All Access has been great to deal with and would recommend a CMC lift.

The basket drive controls are nice moving from one tree to the next. They came in real handy cleaning out my churches gutters. Drive up, set outriggers, and fly away all from the basket. I drove all the way around the church like that.Image.jpgImage.jpg
