As for smoking i gave it up 2 years ago and do not miss it as for the booze well a beer with guys and mabey beer later and that is good. I know some good tree guys in the area thatbooze everyday and smoke like chimmneys and well they do good but as the day goes on they slow down. I had worked with them and sometimes they say slow down we need a breather and light up time. I considered this 5 min to smoke can be 5 min to set up for the next pike to come down.

I quit smoking on New Years Day. I Feel great. I smoked and drank like a fish all through my twenties. Now that I am thirty I decided I don't want to end up like some of the 50 y/o coughing, alcoholics that I know. Beer guts are not flattering.

your muscles need rest ..so s long as you sleep well and you need good diet..i know a guy in his mid forties who is fiiter than guys half his age becuase he has climbed for 20 yrs and has a healthy lifestyle

Well I have found that drinking beer you have to work harder to keep the beer gut away but if you drink only a couple if you like the taste but if you're drinking to get drunk do it only on weekends and have a good diet and workout and concentrate on cardio and abs.

I worked with a guy that could not do anything inless he was drunk he would drink a 12 pack at lunch everyday

I like Cigarettes and beer, but have not been drunk or smoked for a month.
I can do without the drink but, christ, I miss the odd Fag, especially on the drive home from a gruelling job.
I can NEVER get drunk before working, though.
Did it twice in the past and I just can't hack it.

Weekends, or not at all, I say. Bottle of wine a night it a shedload of booze, axey waxey!
