Does anyone know of a decent arborist supplier in the great frozen north, or to be more specific I'm looking to ship to Ottawa. Sick of vermeer/sherrill, looking for an alternative. Would rather support a Canadian outfit.

theres Pacific Arborist supplies, they have said they were going to be getting ther 'new' website up soon, but they told to me two months ago,
'ready in a week or so'
and its still not ready so ?
They do have a extensive catalog and are friendly and helpful, heres a link....

same as the other site no prices listed so you have to let them know what you want and they let you know how much they charge that day. Use an email Id suggest.
I think the Canadians are doing this, not listing the prices online, or even in the catalogs, to deal with the changing dollar and shipping rates constantly shifting, so it makes it hard for them to set prices in stone.
I know the saw shop I deal with had Peztl AMD 'biners that went from 20.36 too 25.00 and several prices in between. When I asked as to why that is the answer I was given regarding the dollar and what not. Its like this with all the gear they sell, ropes everything, you have to hunt through em to find the cheapest ones.

Stay safe gang.
-Grais.

I know you're on the mainland Grais, but Robinson's in Vic is my secret spot for am'd ball locks. $14.99.

The Canadian arborist retailer networker is pretty rough, and as much as I want to support them 100% so things improve I am really over getting rooked and settling for poor selection.

Sooo, for the big ticket or new items, I order NAFTA approved American made product from Wesspur and Sherrill and have them shipped USPS (brokerage free). For silky blades, webbed slings, shot pouches and that sorta high turnover product, a trip to the local arborist shop is justified.

Try Sheppard's(sp?) Utility Supplier in Pefferlaw, ON. They have great prices and are closer to you.

Yeah they do have some good prices, I took an arb program near there. Thanks.

Kirkat Shepherd gave me a price on an Ergovation saddle the other day. $ 689.00 compared to Sherrill at $813.00. They have a great rapport with Buckingham. great guy to deal with.
