MOSS! what great shots! Wow, you have so many cool climbing friends. I'd have never recognized a non-clean-shaven Tom D.
But with your characteristic humility, you didn't include any of yourself. I know you have some good ones, I'd like to include you here too.

Thanks for these.

Thanks Miss Songbird, I'm sort of the anti-beefcake, figure I don't fit the calendar theme :-) This photo has a hint of muscle, haha...

Re: Mark C!

I feel like you do AJ, I'm not the beefcake type... but it would be wrong if you weren't in the mix. Those pictures of other climbers are excellent, first quality shooting.

I finally fixed my FTP client so I think I can post some shots inline now.

How about Simon Z, resident wildman...

Re: Digging through my archives: Hesanarborist

Whoa! never thought I would open up this thread and see myself! Thanks for posting the pic moss. I was going to post one from that same climb.

Re: Digging through my archives: Hesanarborist

So ... this calendar has just exploded with photo submissions - frankly there are now so many that, even with a 16 month calendar, it will be hard to narrow them down, even with multiple images per page.

For the record IMHO, I find ALL of these photos to be beefcake quality! I just have a thing for people in trees showing off their cool/crazy climbs with sweet gear. But hey, STILL don't know a lot of your names, or Treebuzz monikers so send those along, especially those who sent in early submissions.

Re: Digging through my archives: Hesanarborist

Well for my part, i don't any of my pics as calendar quality, i can shoot them if i'm trying though.
I thought the video was fun and wouldn't mind being in tbe next edition.
If ACTUALLY plan to publish a printed calendar you're going to need very high resolution, professionally prepared images. Only a Few of these so far are gonna pass muster.
You can print point and shoot pics but they won't have the rich appearance of what people are used to with wall calendars... Not the kind you buy anyway.
I'm not trying to get all negative, I'm just saying if you want calendar quality, you need pros or semi-pros shooting and processing the images. You need guys like Stacy Borden or even full time pros with good cameras and glass.
I think if you pick for quality you're going to narrow down to shooters rather than subjects.

Re: Digging through my archives: Hesanarborist

Wow awesome pics everyone! Moss thanks for posting the sequoia pic that was one awesome trip I will never forget!! Can’t believe it was a year ago this may.
Jersey girl Love those pictures of the girls in the tree. If I remember right one of those was in a TCIA Mag?

THIS photo may show the most ladies in a tree at one time.

Yea! an onslaught of images! Great cat rescues Chip.
and THANK YOU Jersygirl!!! Knew there were some other good pix of women climbers!

Thanks all, this is awesome to see you all in action.... just goes to show, climbing is the bomb, and the people are the best.

Re: Digging through my archives: Hesanarborist

This is REALLY, REALLY taking off. Thanks Jerseygirl for showing more of the gals. I am just amazed.

One of the things I am liking best about this project(in spite of my lascivious "shirts off" comments!)is seeing what everyone looks like. It's awesome!

Re: Blinky\'s cat rescue photos

Nice cat rescue photos Blinky! A kitty man (as my wife calls us) after my own heart. Truth is cats rule the human race, we merely do their bidding which means every once in a while we have to go up a tree and give them a free ride to the ground, after which they usually walk away muttering "where's the food?".
