buying a 372xp today for dirt cheap haha!

this kid i know has a 372xp and is selling it to me for $75. all it needs is a new air filter, air filter plastic cover and a new clutch. what a dummmy. ill get this thing fixed in a day after ordering the parts so i will have a $700 saw for like $200. sweeeet! how much do you love your 372?

We run the bars that help spin the chain really fast, and cut lots of wood. What are you going to be doing with this chainsaw? Felling large trees? the company I work for has over 12 372, and all of them have 20" bars on them, any bigger, and we use a 395, which is usually the last cut.
But Hey, i would get the biggest bar you can afford! be sure to post about it too okay!!

Fibs. Unless he stole the saw from someone or it's old as f-. Someone doesn't buy an XP saw or just "come into" one that they can sell for that price, especially a 372. It's not a homeowner saw so that rules out any r-tard purchasing it, unless the salesman was desperate; I haven't seen any reputable dealer that sells husky or stihl look desperate imo. Owners of a 372 don't strike me as those to just give up on it and sell it for 75bucks when it's an 900 dollar saw after taxes... unless they are die hard stihl guys trying to make a ludicrous point, but why waste the money?

loved my 372's. I ran a 24" bar.

I also went to buy another one before they changed the carb.
My local shop was all out - so I got a 440 Stihl. Both seem very comparable.
Now I run lightweight 28 inch bars. Less bending over...

Quietly celebrate...

I'm seeing them sitting on shelves here. A re-release or leftovers I am not sure, but they are here. Around $800.

If the blue decompression button is on the rt. side, and not on top, then it's an original 372 xp, not the re-release ones.

Great saw. I normally run a 24in. Stihl ES bar on mine with full-comp. A big bore kit really won't give you any more power over a stock top end. Some of the kits may even be worse.

The Jonsered 2171 is the same saw as the 372xp. Been running one with 24" bar for a few years now, very good saw.
