Yeah you set it just like a regular friction saver and you would need a good size crotch.A bunch of us got to check one out In Shreveport and I actually broke down the masters using it.It requires the yellow retrieval ball to get it out.One side has a little metal rod the ball catches but passes thru the side without it first.I dont think the magnets would brake by looking at it-but what do i know.Im real interested in using the the rigging version looks like a great idea.I think Im more concerned with bending radius during rigging considering the forces involved.Also Would be nice installing from the ground thus elimanating a climb(installing a block) or incresing the load via single line.

would this be just as well accomplished by what I think they call static removable block, as demonstrated in the Art and Science of Practical Rigging?
It would be using existing gear.
