Brief account of 2012 Kentucky TCC issues

Rich,

I respect your judgement in the matter. We see it differently. I would not have it any other way and am comfortable with it.

In the end, we struggle for the same thing, albeit in different modes. That too is as it should be.

I do not consider the issue childish, I just choose not to fight the battle on the battle ground you have chosen. I see no need. It may be my days at ITCC are winding down. I do not know. There is only so much time. Only so much energy to do what I am driven to do.

My core professional value is to educate production tree workers so they stay safe and proficient. Go home at night and take their own boots off. It has become a pursuit, passion and livelihood.

Should you ever convince me that the battle you have chosen will help me win my war, then "stand clear" I'll be coming in full bore, wheels afire. I just do not see it happening anytime soon. ITCC for me is diversion, networking, fun. Related, but like a distant uncle who is fun to hang out with, but you only see him a few times a year.

My battles lie in the field, day to day. It is there I chose to focus my energies, influence and what skills I possess. There I choose to wage a war to help change this industry one "tree dude and dudette" at a time.

My hope is you can respect the way I have chosen to fight as well. That we can both stay focused on what really matters. You see, it is not about us. It never was. It's about helping others.

Respectfully,

Tony
