My throw lines wear in the three feet closest to the throw bag and it naturally breaks there anyway.

Sorry. It was one of those half a days "12+ hrs" today and I misread the title as break-away lanyard. After seeing the pic of the grigri, I figured why not use a prussic to tend the line instead of using the grigri as a slack tender. Now I am presuming the grigri is to break the line?
