Boots?

I'm looking for some recommendations for a good composite or steel toe boot? My work requires wearing them and the Keens I have feel like I'm wearing bricks.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm kinda old school, but I love my Red Wing loggers! Tough but comfortable, and isn't that what we're looking for?
P.S. I'm not talking about some of their newer, cheaper, made in China by communist labor out of inferior materials boots (which I'm guessing suck) but rather their high end, $280/pair, made in the USA ones. I hate paying that much or more for a boot, but I really think you get the value back out of them.

The loggers are so damn heavy though! Amazing boots though and a coworkers mother manages a store right outside red wing so I get 30% off!

Unfortunately I don't think light weight and tough go together in a boot. Love my loggers, like Jeff said they are not cheap but they are if compared to the Whites or similar custom made boots.

They say if the soles are stitched they are made in the US and if the soles are vulcanized on they are made overseas. The danner quarry logger have been great, I'm past the one year mark with them. They are still waterprooof and very comfortable. Durability has been awesome. My vicious 4.5 are about to get replaced but I have had them 2 years and wore them for everything from climbing to bow hunting and hiking, still waterproof. Thats a win in my book.

The tag and the box should be labeled. I've moved on to asolos from Sierra trading Post 150 a year basically worn 7 days a week.however they do suck for over 2 hours in spikes but I mostly prune. And obviously no safety toe.

Not sure if you're just referencing the Danner's, but I've witnessed this with other brands as well. Learned about it the hard way when the soles started coming off my $300 Gore-Tex 1000 gram Thinsolate winter boots, and my local boot repair guy said "You see how these Chinese soles are glued on rather than stitched. Means there not fixable. But if you want to shoot a bunch of glue in there and hope, it might hold for a while." Great. I've got Red Wings that are on their third set of soles (RW resoles them for only $75, come back good as new and already broken in (y)) and the junky Chinese ones can't even wear out one set of soles before they fall off.
