Just to put it out there. Matt Hodges won the Masters climb at Charlotte on a blakes hitch, closed system. No frills.
Hello Everyone,
It is with my utmost apologies that I tell everyone that we will have to plan for the BRAA Climbing comp on another day. While we could get the logistics worked out in time and set it up. I did not allow us enough time to lock down the judges we will need, and rather than put on something inadequate, we will postpone and re-plan this event. The BRAA is here to stay though, and we are looking forward to promoting arboriculture in Western North Carolina and the Southern Appalachians through many events such as this and through highlighting other areas of our profession. Actually, Bill Hascher of the Biltmore Estate is planning an Urban Forestry Products Expo that same weekend of the 8th, and he expects that event to be great! Locally, we may try to set up a "practice" climbing competition for people, especially local guys, to get an idea of what a climbing comp is like, but unfortunately, no BIG comp YET. ...YET!!!
I apologize again for any inconvenience caused for anyone who has made plans. If there is anything I can do to help if that is the case, please feel free to message me or get in touch through other means.
Thanks again everyone.
