This is my fave from last year; not nearly as exciting and no, no sawdust. This is a 6" pruning wound/heading cut on a central leader broken by ice. Blinky helped me restoration prune the tree 6 years later; this wound totally closed; the side limbs were slower callusing.

Hey, those are my shoes! That tree had several nice closures like that. When I tell people you have a gift for storm restoration it's wound closures like that I think about.

Pickup truck, and the k-boom truck. I'm in a brittle dead tree, with the bright yellow helmet, near the end of the k-boom.
