Blinky, it's cool to see a picture of you. Interesting thread of pictures for sure!

hey, that lighting strike guy.

Was it for sure hit by lighting? Your not talking about that streak that runs from the crotch to the bottom, right?

Isn't that streak tissue death from a tight V-crotch pinching? Or is it somehow lighting damage?

nice picture, I'm not being a jerk. Just inquiring.

Are those cables in the tree too? Due to an arborist noticing the weak potential of that crotch?

The picture doesn't show the lightning damage it is on the other side of the tree. But you are correct that there is cable in the tree as well. It was installed about 15 years prior to the removal. The tree was actually at my girlfriends parents house so we know for sure that it was struck by lightning.

OK if we get 3 then here's #2, the most interesting job of the year, 28" tearout on a 55"-60" hackberry crashed into this house in the historic district.

And I want to see the REALLY GOOD pictures!

Hey, thanks for the cape idea, I'll start wearing one of those next. Would a black cape or a yellow cape go good with my outfit???

I did a nice 5'+ DBH hollow Cottonwood this year. Here is a photo I snaped from video (so the photo quality really sucks). But, it shows the size of tree I had to deal with.

I just may edit the video and post it soon.

hahaha I got nothing. I do mostly prunes, so nothing that special. I've been in a few bigger trees this year working in NJ. I don't really trust myself with a camera at work. I beat up cell phones bad enough.

Nice pictures everyone. Moss I like yours best or the one with the snow. Riggs that's some crazy . No wonder why you needed two cranes.

might not be back on the net to xmas . In the middle of some serious removal jobs now , all Red Oaks . Ending the year with a bang . In my Fantasy football champ game . Here is one last pic for now . Pain ith e A** , At the Mars place ( m n m chocolate candy , all that ) Thats M. Night Shamalayns house in the back ground . 20k flower garden , smoked dead European Beech . Tip toe through the tulips , 100 plus degree day , had to be done when they weren't home . again only treeworkers can appreciate this .

Dang. I wonder if anyone suggested removing that tree when the other side of the co-dom pealed off the trunk.

Storm damage in March.
This was a cut and drop and leave everything.
It was a little tricky setting up and we had to be careful of the power lines in the back ground. All went well and was a fun job!

Training a future tree climber in January. She is only 12 years old and had no problem climbing up to 75ft in this white pine, during a snow storm.
