Best of 2010

Here are some more from that climb. It’s amazing how fearless we are when we are kids

OK, here's number 3, best prune of the year. A big spreading pecan that managed to escape storm damage, stunning tree. Deadwood and hazard only, took two (slow) climbers all day... totally fun.
That's Jared.

Hmmm, i don't totally agree, now this thread is being cluttered with regular photos in my opinion.

I like it with people just trying to post 1 to 3 very good photos, so it doesn't get cluttered.

or maybe I'm just grumpy today

Nice pics in this thread! I actually like the ones embedded so I don't have to look for attachments. I will have to dig through some pics this weekend. I have a lot of cool ones, but I need to check the "best before dates" before I post them.

just to summarize, a few of us started another little contest: TCIA magazine front cover photo contest.

First one of us to get on the cover in a FUTURE magazine, either January issue or years from now, gets the money.

We pay the winner $20 each.

Chris Girard, Riggs, Reg, Boston Bull and I are the only ones that said we would do it so far. So total pot is $100.

If I win,( I am thinking I will because I did submit some of these photos I posted on this thread), I want you guys to go online and send your $20 check to TomTheTreeMan's special olympics cause he recently started.

It's real easy to apply a donation online secure and I'll post the link here if I win and you guys need to pay up.

is the Best Management Practices, a TCIA magazine issue, or a separate mailing?

just trying to make sure what you are referring to.

Yes, the people down at TCIA are currently working on a Tree Rigging BMP book for manual takedowns and removal work, just like the Crane Rigging BMP Manual that they put out last year, or the year before.

If you have any REALLY, REALLY good tree rigging pictures (no crane shots), send them to TCIA Staff Arborist Tchukki Anderson.

They are still looking for a great cover shot last time that I talked to her. The BMP manual should be available sometime in 2011.

3 from this year, sorry its nothing I haven't already posted. I think I like the first one best. Lots on the headcam this year but not too many stills. The summer was about the worst Ive ever experienced, but then the autumn got very busy. No work this week, everything has cancelled, nobody is spending and nobodies doing credit. Never mind.
