Best chainsaw pants for longevity

I’m outfitting my three workers with chainsaw pants since they hem and haw about chaps.
Im concerned about them not lasting long with dragging brush.
I was recommended the dogwoods from arborwear but some reviews have panned them for ripping on brush.
 
I use the Forester brand ones, they're green and black. I'll try to find a link. They're cheap ($120 from my local saw shop) and have lasted all season without complaints. They're even vented and water resistant. Our second choice is the echo ones for like $80. They are HOT though.
 
I would advise against the dogwoods. Light and comfortable, but not at all durable.

Are they strictly groundies or do they climb too?

I've heard good things about Pfanner Gladiators being very durable. Clogger Defender Pro too.

A cheap pair that won’t last isn’t very cheap. I’d rather spend more money for something that lasts. These guys don’t climb.
 
I have a pair of Clogger Zeros that have been to hell and back for a few years; still goin' strong enough. I do stitch up/patch any tears or snags though, so that helps. I have cut leather on sharp stubs, so I wouldn't invest too much into the idea that anything will be good quality and maintenence free.
 
Lighter weight in summer may rip but worth the comfort. I am stoked on dogwoods, but would wear chaps or heavier ones if wading through roses all day. The Labonville double sided full wrap chaps are always in the truck and don’t seem to die, sometimes I prefer chaps anyways. Have your employees suggested a brand/model?

I have 2 pairs of the Forester and I like them. The front pockets are terrible. I thought I wouldn’t like the button and snap for the waist but, they’re holding up. I climb in them because they’re lightweight. They will get snagged on briar type stuff. Watch the muffler and chain on your saw too.
 
Personally I love the Pfanner products. That’s all I wear. My wife likes her Clogger Zeros.

Another brand worth checking out is Raingear Pro.

I bought their waterproof chainsaw pants. They were too small for me but incredible durability. Not good for climbing though because the built in buttons for suspenders under the saddle was downright painful. They have 4 different models of saw pants depending on season you are working in. I’ll likely buy a larger pair for doing ground work in wet conditions. Nice to not have to put in rain gear over the saw pants.

Waterproof chainsaw pants?! That does sound like the business up in your neck of the woods!
 
The Clogger Tree Crew pants are heavy and hot but they have been durable for me. I don't like to climb in them but for ground stuff they're great. Not that pricey either.
 
I've worn the same pair of Dogwoods for over two years. I've been patching them whenever they get ripped, which isn't an infrequent occurrence, but I'm replacing them in the new year.

I was disappointed the first time they ripped, dragging brush within the first week or two, but as long as I've kept on to of patching them I haven't had any catastrophic tears.

Yeah they melt. Don't work in the shop with them. Welding spatter is no bueno
