Eh... They did a good job, nice finish, earthy notes.. I can really taste the coffee, and milk. I think it was about $9 for a sixer, which is standard for micro brews around here. I'm picky on my stouts, I'd say it's on par with the obsidian I sent you.

Not bad... That's what it is around here too... Now Rouge... Bastards... Over priced. Back in the day (lived in Newport) IT was cheap! like PBR.. (not quite but a reasonable 5.99-6.99.. Some friends who I cannot remember their names would back their truck to where the kegs were stacked. A few kegs would fall in the back of their truck, and are likely a navigational hazard, or part of a reef.. Well said friends decided to go swimming with Keiko https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keiko_(orca) in the middle of the night after draining a few of these kegs.. They made it all up to the top of the tank, before they were all arrested for trespass and general stupidness. The damn whale and Rouge brewery were just a stones throw away.

Fun fact the damn over grown monochromatic fish, had a thing for pleasuring himself on the glass viewing windows of his fish bowl. Many tourists demanded refunds, for having to educate their children.

Deadguy used to be a staple of mine at $8-$9. Now it's $12-$13 and not really worth it. Amazing brewery but pricing has gotren insane here

Now, there's one I'd love to try... I'm addicted to Monster coffee drinks and like to self medicate with something to offset the caffeine (wishful thinking as a wide awake drunk is not the same as being sober)... and that looks like an interesting brew.

Java stouts are great, highly recommend the ones from Bells and Founders.

These were cool, very British.
