Beech Tree

This is a beech tree but I've never seen the bark like this. Anyone, seen anything like it?

Looks like Ulmus alata (Winged Elm) to me.

It can grow into a pretty large tree. It might be a good idea to move it away from the side of the house to avoid future tree/hardscape conflicts.

Why do you think it is a Beech? There are some with unique bark, but I've never seen winged bark. Those buds and the "zigzag" twigs are also indicative of elm.
