I'm new here so forgive me for not being privy to the dynamics of the interpersonal relationships. But is it always like this? Just wondering.

Oh, and just to keep on topic: I've always used two chokers to balance a pick. On very rare occasions, three for a big awkward piece. Most picks are just one choker well beyond the balnace point and one cut while the crane stands the piece straight up. Maybe one in ten will get a face cut first.

Nah just when the big guns feel like letting off some steam as hectic schedules can do fukking heads in. My suggestion is just chime in and keep the flames hot it gets very entertaining. Its all good here, civil really compared to the real world. There can be lots of action on the buzz similar to the wild west without the gunpowder. Besides that a lot of good back and forth information to be had. Just another day at the beach, oops sorry I forgot most are in winter. 32 degrees C in the shade here.

Guess as technology matures we all will have robots post for us and then there will be no "interpersonal relationships" and they will stay strictly on subject matter.

It's easy to be misunderstood in a written forum. Something said in jest face to face and taken in stride for what it is can come across as vitriolic and downright evil in writing without the accompanying vocal tones, gestures, body language, etc. that one perceives in person. What I'm trying to say is that often it's hard to tell whether someone is just busting chops or if they really are an arrogant trouble-making boor. It's even more difficult as a noobie unfamiliar with the various personalities present.

That's true but when you have years and years over multiple forums (history)...you get to know the personality maybe better than having a face to face and gestures to interfere with the interpretation or maybe mislead you.
Then enter others to either take your side or move in opposition to you (maybe explaining your banishment from TH) and what do you have? A little society unto itself.
Better than face to face? Maybe so, maybe not but entertaining as evidenced by the popularity of forums. Obviously more time efficient as how or where would you actually meet all these people, let alone of kindred profession? Also if they were in your area of operation they would be a threat of some import to your prosperity?

Yeah vet so true, dudes just need to remember not to get all bent out of shape. Stand up for what you believe in however agree to disagree when the shite hits the fan. Don't lose sleep over TB it really ain't worth it. Here can be a great way to both vent and learn at the end of the day it's still really a virtual world.
Well.... you can get all bent out of shape, but then you have to let it go and not hold a grudge.
There are quite a few on here that hold a grudge against me, that is for sure; for something I argued about or brought to the surface about them in the past.
Swingdude and I had it out a month or more ago, then I let it go and I'm pretty sure he honestly let it go.
Not too many guys can really let it go. I see it come back, years later even.
