Bag system for tree watering

Thanks for bringing this up Tom. I'm considering purchasing some as well for planting trees on a slope, no regular irrigation available. So....just a bump.

At my previous employer we used Ooze tubes. You place the emitters where you want them. Each tube comes with 4 emitters, you can use them all or just a few or more if you have them depending on the situation. Easy to set up and fill.
I like them because you can place the emitters on the outside edge of the tube. This placement usually corresponds to the edge of the root ball where you want the new roots to establish, not at the base of the tree around the trunk.
I personally feel that the TreeGator and other water delivery systems that place the water at the trunk induce girdling roots. There is no peer reviewed scientific studies to back up that statement (yet), it's just my hypothesis.
