ATV's a thing of the past

Re: ATV\'s won\'t run a stumper, rake is ready

Ive run one or two in the past, not good for anything over 4" and even some smaller harder stumps were difficult. I wouldnt recommend one unless, you grind alot of little stumps in very tight quarters.
They require alot of effort to run, especially if not as sharp as can be.

Re: ATV\'s won\'t run a stumper, rake is ready

I never had the opportunity to dance with the Jorge but I understand that it does have enough power to do a reasonable job. Of all the portables this seems to be the best machine in this niche.

Re: ATV\'s won\'t run a stumper, rake is ready

My apologies...
I had to got back and read the first page, Ive not used that specific model. I thought mangoes was curious about any chainsaw powered portables. Ive never used the one in toms link, but it does look the the best built that ive seen.

Re: Log Arch carries ATV

Frans - Wesly called me from Hawaii today LOVES His Boxer and Grapple -- hasn't tryed his terrastumper yet.

Did you go to the bank yet?

Re: Log Arch carries ATV

Believe me, the Alpine machine is well-built. Considering the demands of the job they held up really well. The teeth go beat up pretty bad but that's to be expected. You wouldn't use a Ranger pickup to pull a brush chipper would you?

Re: ATV\'s won\'t run a stumper,

Thats tight john, I don't think an ATV would go through there very well either, certainly not with an arch or trailer

Duals on a mini

Please scale the picture attachments closer to 700x700 pixels and 72 pixel quality. Big pics on dial up are painfully slow. /forum/images/graemlins/applaudit.gif

So which is the better buy?

[/ QUOTE ]

Id say definately the mini is the better buy. Every tree guy should have one!
Right Dave? No wait, I have the edge over other tree guys. Every 10th tree guy should own one. Sorry Dave. /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Id like to get duallys set up on my machine, but they need to be quick release of some sort. Jimmies need to be bolted on and off, what a pain.

Re: Duals on a mini

Jimmy just snapped the shaft on one of his torque motors, I think he was grading dirt with a 6' plow. Just sold a machine to Erwin Tree in Hobart Indiana, He has a 36" wide - 43' backyard bucket, the Duals connect fast & simple check it out 1 Bolt there on or off
