Arborwear tech-pants?

I have the regular ones, I'm thinking on the tech-pants for this season though, they would be a lot cooler

Has anybody out there used them before? and how do they compare with the originals?

I have 10 pair in all colors, Navy(4), Driftwood(2), Forest(2), Gray(2). They are much cooler and last longer than the originals.
I think they're only available in 2 colors now though. Definitely worth the investment.

Jeans are dress pants for me now. Tech pants are my everyday pants, not just 'uniform' pants for work. One pair got a hole melted in them from a hot air gun so those are my shopwork pants.

They hold up to wear very well.

My brother and I have both done daily back to back heat/cool tests of Tech Pants. Jeans or other cotton pants will keep you warmer in hot weather because the cotton doesn't allow the sweat to evaporate as easily as synthetics.

If you've never worn cargo pants before you'll get used to doing the Macarena Dance until you put things into specific pockets :)

Tech pants resist wear waaaaaay better than jeans or other fabrics. You can slog logs and brush around in the rain, climb wet, dirty trees, whatever, they don't give out. Totally worth it.

They are definitly the best bang for your buck. I use to use the before i switched to stretch-airs, which i both love and hate at the same time. Only time I ever even got a hole in them was either getting too close to a hot muffler or a rigging rope rubbing on them. Tech pants hold up way better then my stretch-airs ever have.

They are a great pair of pants, but like Norm said, they are only available in two colors right now, but they are releasing a new Black color for the fall 2010 season.

Interesting about the "new" black color.

I live very close to Arborwear HQ.
Several years ago I bought 2 pair of BLACK on sale.
They were originally made, thinking that the "tactical" community would like them. They were discontinued.

The pants are great.

My sister hemmed them slightly shorter for me, and commented at the time: "these could be dress pants".

you can go swimming in them and then there dry. they used to be better though. I think the fabrics not as rugged anymore and they dont make blue anymore which is dissapointing. the colors arent that great.
