Arbortec Scaffel light sizing

Does anyone have a word on how sizing runs in these boots? I hate ordering shoes online, but TS has that good sale, so I'm considering trying to get a pair of legit saw boots (more for the steel toe and arch-support/weight-distribution while in spurs, than the actual chainsaw pro feature).

I am currently wearing some 5.11 Tactical lightweight boots in size 12, so I was wondering if I should shoot in the dark and order the same size Scaffels or if I should order a few pairs and return the most ill-fitting ones.

Does TS have a return policy on shoes that allows that?

They good for spurs that you know of? I've found myself doing about 8hrs on spurs the past 2 days in flimsy soled boots, and my freakin toes are tingling. I think I just need something with more support.

My ArbPro Evo2s work great with spurs, but they also fit well enough and are sticky enough to do pruning without spurs. You might consider trying a pair of those on as well.

Got em today. How tight do y'all wear your boots? 12's with thin socks fit to where I don't have much wiggle room, which I think would be where I'd want them out of the box, unbroken-in. But, I don't know much.

That description sounds like what these are.

My feet (and all of me) sweat like crazy, so I generally wear thin socks.

Can't wait to try these with spurs, the bottoms are so thick! I was basically wearing bedroom slippers before. Toes are almost finished tingling from a couple of consecutive days in those things. Oof.

yes thin wool, but some get too slippy in the boots other give nice hold in the boot. the grey with red stripe works great and the cheaper the better. I tried the dress wool sock and they work great as a liner in the winter but seem to be slippy for summer wear
also with the scafell is to tie them up firm but not tight like your going skating. if done to tight it gets uncomfortable more like you would with a sneaker for walking to around the block

Just got home and tried them on again. Considering that they don't have a 12.5, and instead go straight to 13, these are perfect. Thick pair of socks might be uncomfortable with these, but if I was wearing a 13, I'd be forced to wear a thick pair for the boots to fit.

I think 12 was the right choice. Thank you for the help, guys!
