We could use one or two new people. (Ground people)
Two types I'm looking for right now.
1. A really smart guy on the ground. He can progress to a climber if he wants or progress to be the best highest paid groundperson ever; if he is really smart and continues to learn and do everything. Good, SMART, hard worker with tree knowledge, if green, around $15 to start likely progress between $25 to $30 an hour if he can do everything on the ground. (fell trees accurately, remember the work plan, get a CDL, run all equipment, know tree species, plant perfectly, perform maintenance, talk to customers intelligently, be on damage control and safety). Most guys I find, are okay and learn for a while, then plateau and flatline, kinda irritating. It would be so nice to have a genius of a groundguy to go with the good climbers we have.
2. Laborer. Doesn't have to be a genius, but knows how to rake, get things, notice things and keep the Hell out of the way. Safe enough to learn to use chainsaw, etc. Plus strong and energetic. Pay likely $10 to $15 an hour.

Label the subject as JOB POSSITION.
We are a small company that is proud of our work and enjoy our work.
Work should be fun and interesting, not just hours on a job.
We focus on quality work, doing things right for the tree and working with safety. We enjoy technical rigging and challenging situations.
We are picky with our customers and picky with our crew we hire.
We have the right equipment to make the job fun and not back breaking. Owner works on the job, so that helps. We spare no expense when it comes to tools to make our job easier.
You get paid for your skill level and what you produce, not time. For example, some guys get hired and then get a dollar raise every week for 6 weeks because they are smart, hard working and progress. You get paid for progression, not time invested.
The last laborer was hired at $13 and never learned to even rake efficiently, he never got a raise in 6 months and was let go. (first time this has ever happened actually).
That's how it is, apply if you might have what it takes.
Just being honest and upfront so we don't waste each other's time.
We only run about 5 or 6 employees max, so why not have the best we can get, feed off of each other's intelligence and strength? That makes the job interesting and fun.
Most of your life will be at work, make it something you enjoy.
