Anyone ever seen one of these?

I remember seeing one of those chip trucks many years ago at Expo. The concept is intriguing of course. If I remember correctly the unit bulged up into the bottom of the box a bit. That might preclude dropping chunks inside unless the chipper is well covered by plating.

What powers the chipper? is there a gas motor like a typical tow behind? Is there a hydraulic motor powered by a PTO driven pump? This would make a more compact chipper.

Most likely direct drive off of the PTO. A buddy of mine had one years ago. His was a side feed unit from the passenger side.

Terrible, used one at the last company I was with. Would rip the brush right out of your hand before you even had a chance to react and that meant getting some of the worst slaps to the face brush has ever given me. Would never go near one again in a million years.
