anyone climbed in Citico Creek Wilderness NC/TN?

Im going out to Western NC next weekend to try to find some big trees to climb and was wondering if anyone had ever gone climbing out there? Ive been told that I should head to the Falls Branch trail off the Cherohala Skyway in TN. Anyone have any experiences out that way with some cool trees? It would be nice to not have to do too much bushwacking, if possible, to find something nice and get lifted.
Along the same lines, has anyone ever gotten in any trouble for rec climbing in public forests/wilderness areas/parks?
thanks for any help/advice

NO not much trouble as long as you stay away from the trails, Kilmer is not to kind on ropes in their trees.

there is a group that climbs out of Chattanooga and have posted a few trees in the Hixon Tn area - so big poplars

Wildlife and public forests are not an issue nor some local parks - it all depends on the location and time.

IN ga - Unico gap area there are a few areas that have pines that are up in the 140 range and the hike is in only a 1/4 mile and about 100 foot off the trail.

I am sure any where off a FSR you will find what you want and not have to walk all that far.
