Any Info??

I've been reading all these posts for the last few months. Been great, have some things to say so figured i'd register.
I'm 22 years old, trying to learn the business. I don't have a lot of experience, but do love to climb and have a great appreciation for trees.
Anyways, i'm currently enrolled in Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts studying Arboriculture. I'm taking a marketing class where i need to research the Tree Care Industry. I was curious if anyone knew of any sites that i could obtain some information about the industry as a whole. I;ve been to ISA, NAA, and they haven't been able to help me.
I'm looking for stats, on how many businesse's there are, what people are doing for work (removals, pruning, cableing, etc.) Anything would be great (only interested in the U.S. though)
Thanks in advace to all who apply

You should call the Tree Care Industry Association, they would have some of the information for you. I doubt that it will be on their website.

Are you familiar with using library search engines? Lexus/Nexus etc? Much better than relying on google for very specific questions. You should be able to talk with a librarian at school and get some direction. Colleges pay subscription fees to various info sources. When I was in a class a year ago I found that there is a whole new world of info avaialable on the web. Some county and city libraries have great sources too.

Glad to see you posting on Tree Buzz. Let the other students know about the resource too.

ohh i had a great site from the UK i would have loved to share with you but you'r only interested in sites from the states ,so i won't post it /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gifi'ts such a shame because i think it's just what you might be looking for
