Any idea what kind of tree this is?

Our dumpster is located right next to this tree so I've checked both sides of the fence and there's too many types of leaves around to identify it (at least for a newbie like myself). Any help would be much appreciated!

My guess is water oak.

Quercus nigra.

Thank you, that was my thought as well and the majority of the leaves around the other side of the fenceline are of a water oak however I sent the pic to an LA friend of mine who wasn't positive due the the branch structure (which as you can tell, is pretty jacked up). I knew that I could count on this forum to help! Thanks again!
