Annual CT rec climb Sandy Hook CT

Erik what was that hitch cord and length that you were using. I was impressed how easily you could brake it free after fully weighting it after a fast descent. It almost felt if not the same smoothness as the Rope runner. I liked that combo you were running!

I had the same question, I know it's Epicord 10mm, tied in a Michoacan, length I don't know, 30"?

Man I'm really disappointed I missed it, but work called

I'm going to go back to the same trees soon and do some measuring, one of them is a contender or at least is probably in the top 5 for height, wood volume, crown spread, for a Connecticut tuliptree. The measuring will be ground based but climbing will happen, smaller crew this time but should be good, let me know if you're interested and we'll work out a date.

It also helps to tie the hitch 4 ways. A sewn eye is easy to do this with.

1- Label side up...
2- Label side down...
3- Blank side up...
4- Blank side down...

Keep mixing it up and doing the wraps without upsetting the weave (remove memory and wear marks) to spread out the wear and keep things fresh as an Early-Fall breeze.

Thanks Guys! I loved how smooth that system was with Eriks new tether! Erik when do you all hope to have the new SRT line released?

My opinion is that Jason & Co. have a good handle on quality control at @Height. The lengths have been consistent.

Hey guys, I had a blast up in those tulips last week!! It was a pleasure to meet all of you, and I look forward to more rec climbing soon.

I Forgot to mention how slick Eriks new rope tether looks and feels. I like how you can use it with a fixed pulley or a hitch climber pulley. definitely going to get one of these.

You guys sound like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing.

Quick question: Is there a pic of Erik's tether to share?
