I got turned onto Lucinda when I was living in Austin in the 80's and have been a huge fan of hers since. I feel the World without Tear and Live at the Filmore era with Doug Pettibone (norcal boy) is when her shit went to another level. During this time Lucinda did some road work with Chuck Prophet, and a good buddy of mine was playing bass with Chuck so I was very fortunate to see Lucinda's band multiple times during this period. Some absolutely mind blowing nights and some of the best music I have ever witnessed in my life. Just a special moment in time where a truly amazing artist picked the perfect time to collided with a young insanely talented guitar player and rhythm section. I was there for her Filmore album which was incredible, but a small outdoor venue at Paul Masson Winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains will go down as one of the musical highlights of my life. A transcending experience..I know its. Not Friday yet but sure damn feels like it..
