Aerial Rescue

Been here much more than a while
Location
Roslyn, Pa.
I am bringing this up here only because it is probably thought about less but it should always be thought about no matter who or where you are climbing. I know many companies are training their crews about it and hopefully basic first aide and cpr along with defibrillator use. My job (not tree related at all) has also, but of course not the aerial rescue part. My question to everyone out there is how do we get basic aerial rescue training? I'm not opposed to paying for it but I also don't want to pay a small fortune. I'm not looking for CEU's or to be an emergency responder, I just want to be able to safely rescue a fellow climber if the need ever arises and I am the best option at the time. Sure at the moment if he was located somewhere in my climbing zone/technical comfort I could get there and wing it based on what I have read or seen at events but.....I think some basic training should be easier to find and acquire.

If the moderators think this should be somewhere else please feel free to move it.

Cool, can't wait to meet you. When I was at TS earlier this year you were out of town. Hell of a nice crew you guys have there.

We have a diagram in our company training book that shows manual rescue. It demonstrates one person and two person rescue. I would be willing to send them to you via picture message if you wanted to message you number privately monkey love.

Thanks, but did find the chart. Learning the chart is certainly a great start and memory refresher. I'm hoping to gets some hands on exercise while in Pittsburgh. Thanks again though.
