I was at TCIA last year in Pittsburgh (which was awesome) and I happened to pass by the Arbormaster/Arboriculture Canada booth when they were showing an aerial rescue which was pretty neat. It took a bit of time to set up, but it was clean, very clean and easy to control the person which is vital on descent... The best way I could describe it is: He hooked the injured up to his climbing line, lowered himself onto the victim while using his weight to raise the victim to him and then hooked the victim up to his system and descended. I know he didn't just snap his termination to him, cause it was a kid and they would have gone a__ over tea kettle if they did this.
I'd appreciate if anyone could post a video, or point me in the right direction of where a video might be. Or just do it the old fashioned way and describe it. Also if you guys have some great ways or tips of doing rescue, spread the wealth of knowledge.
