Aerial rescue involving a Cessna 182!

I've been called out twice to rescue treed cats. The 1st one was a success. Brought her down in a rope bag. She seemed relieved to be rescued, came right to me.
The second one was hissing and growling, moved further out the closer I got. When he ran out of limb, he jumped onto the house roof into another tree, down that tree into another, way up at the top. Came away empty on that one.

Hahaha, that was funny, I think I once read .... how many cats have actually died stranded up a tree?

Maybe we dont know coz when they cark it they fall out.

I've done a few cat rescue had one really stuck. Cat climbed out too far and fell onto branch end two small twigs on either side of rib cage and paws wouldn't touch limb. It could of been one dead cat.
be safe scotty

Another good job Ekka, i bet the plane owners were smiling from ear to ear! I've rescued a few cats but one day i was wrkg. across the street from a grade school. They had somehow kicked a ball and got stuck between a hendricks cable (between the 3 closely spaced insulated wires) It was dry, the cables insulation was new. Got out my telescopic hot stick (which i use to set my throw lines on dense trees)wiped it w/ silicone, used rubber gloves, stood on a plastic pad, and bumped the ball out. It was rewarding to see the kids happy! (I also explained this was specialized equip, and never play around elec lines)
