Did some raising boarding and lowering training today. Nothing big or out of the norm but good day just the same. Wish I had some pics of packaging the patient but it was only me there today so..... eeehhh maybe next time.
.... Nice to see ....In my humble opinion , what makes smooth rescues in real life is training . training ,and some more training .... what particular scenarios are you using ??? (.. struck by work ... medical issues ... electrocution ... falls ....) Dave ....also what's your "dummy's" weight ??
For each training it is a diffrent reason for rescue. This one was due to being struck by something and patient is having numbness in the lower half of his body. Rescue dummy can weigh between 150 and 180 ( it has led bags you can add or remove).
we have borrowed a 175 lb. dummy from our local fire dept. for some training on the ski patrol.... so far we have used a scenario of lift mechanic fall off tower... into his own ppe ... left hanging needing rescue where we have to "cut out" and lower .... that dummy is HEAVY .... keep training man !
.... Back to the relationship between training and real life ..... we constantly train for scenarios of lift evacuation .... again , and again .... this year we actually evaced TWO times .... Both times really well .... I have posted the stories over at the tree house in detail .... Dave
