Sorry Greg, I just found out that Kristian will be unable to make it afterall.... but for a good reason.....our man is getting Married !!!! Our loss on the waffles, but his gain with Meg !!!!

Splices are the pinnacle of knot tying.........so............

Everytime I see this thread pop up I get PUMPED!!!!!

As for ticks, human crane aka my body guard shows to mercy no matter how big or small so I'm covered. I suggest y'all go out and become friends with your own human crane, it makes life easy for us little guys.

I just finished doing a freebie job and was paid in jim beam green label. I'm going to stick to my word about not drinking til the SSS but man is it hard when I've got such a tasty treat waiting for me.

Hey rich, we will be down Friday night and planned to stay at the motel/hotel place, do you think I should make reservations or does the place give off that "you might get raped here" kinda vibe so I won't have to worry about them being overbooked?
 
John-Kristian said he could make up a big batch of waffle mix and send it with me for the trip. I'll try to bring a big batch of waffles and a couple irons for one of the mornings. We are looking at leaving here on Thursday evening about 7:00, make a stop to pick up Jerel in St. Louis, and head on over from there. I'm guessing we'll show up at 1-2:00 in the morning, but we can all sack out in the camper or in the van for the first night if we need to. That gives us all day Friday for playtime!. Can't wait.
 
Uh, is he talking dry mix or are you looking at the mix added to water? I mean, don't feel like you need to truck a bucket load of wet sloppy mix out here just for waffles.

I appreciate it though.....

Can we have the ticks make breakfast for us? Put 'em to use at least....
 
I am excited for the trip. Got my hammock ready to join the hickory heights hotel this year as last year I might've had just a lil too much Kentucky bourbon with WoodlandTC. I will be heading down Friday after work.

The motels at the Shepherdsville exit (rt. 44) off of 65 South will certainly have rooms for you, but at that point you are only 10 minutes from the property so just keep going..we'll keep the lights on for ya !!!!

We can't wait to see you and the crew. Friday is looking to be a ton of fun. There is a local dive bar (its called The Trackside....that's all you need to know about it....hahaha) that is in for one heck of a shock that night !!!! Drive safe and enjoy Coast to Coast AM (the worlds best radio show for late night driving)


To all who are worried about food and especially breakfast, I can assure you that you will be well taken care of. Our local caterer is gonna treat you to some incredible food, including homemade biscuits and gravy for breakfast...Nothing sticks to the ribs better !!!!!


Toni and I are psyched to see everyone and we look forward to hanging out with those who come early.

Only a few more days! I cant wait, just not looking forward to the drive down from New York, but it will be worth it. just secured a portaledge for the weekend so i should be able to camp in style. Se you all Friday night.
 
Hey jeremy, we are thinking of sleeping in the hotel Friday night then sleeping in the minivan Saturday night. I plan on drinking good and heavy sat. night so I may end up under a tree in covered in a comfy poison ivy comforter. Oh the sweet dreams ill have.
 
What night is the big party? I can make it one night to hang out with everyone. Possibly part of a day too... I need some instruction on the double braid splice. Tachyon too.

Is there burnt pork to be eaten?

Only one night? Ya gotta be kidding me dude. No good. No good at all man. Tighten up man and make it out both nights. There is good fun to be had. I'll be representing Dirty jersey and man is it gonna be awesome

You may be best served coming out Friday night to party as Saturday is when we will be getting serious about the splicing. Double Braid will be an all day affair on Saturday (2 sessions) so it will be the best time to be there if you are interested in Tachyon (and you should be..that rope rocks !!!)

If you gents plan to be here that early you had best plan on skipping the motel.......Hickory Heights is not accepting reservations, it is demanding them !!!!! We have you and Human Crane written in with pen for Friday night !!!!
