Hey fellers,

Learned a pile last year, looking forward to learning more of the finer points this year. Got some stuff even stupider than an eye on samson true-blue, working on my new floating bridge rope saddle, it's looking sweet, garden hose and 3-strand. Should be ready in time.

We warming up a pig in a hole again this year?

Take care,
Ryan.

ps Anyone need a lift along I-71? Cleveland and points south...

I mean, how can you say no to an event like this? Look at Ryan, he got so good he can tell tachyon from tenex with his eyes closed!

hey john, look like ill be buying a 200ft tachiyon line from ya at the sss. cant wait man, its gonna be awesome

also, i have my isa cert test coming up a week after the sss event so i am offering fair warning to all i will be asking a lot of questions "non spliced" related.

Also, and I hope this doesn't disappoint to many people, we probably will skip the pig roast this year. We do have full catering for the event however. The catering option will free everyone up to participate in all the activities and not worry about making meals.

I was at last years and it was fantastic and by the sounds of it this one is going to be even bigger and better. March can't come soon enough.

Don't worry dude, I'll lobby for ya on this one......if it was up to Rich we would all be eating nothing but ham and sushi.........and drinking burbon................

Although, that roasted pig last year was really good, I was plowing through that sucker.

Sorry for the delay in responding to a few of these questions...this ice storm has made things a bit midieval down here as of late.

There is still room for those who may want to sign up, but the space is filling up fast. We currently have 30 signed up with many participants from last year coming back for more. We also have quite a few first timers which should be fun.

The meals will be fully catered with tons of different stuff, unfortunately not sushi though. We will have food for non meat eaters as long as you let me know you desire it well in advance. You may get ridiculed, but you will get your Tofu. If anyone shows up with any Tennessee "so called" Whiskey they will be escorted South about 2 hours and left at the state line.

The class schedule on Sunday involves two seperate training periods which should wrap up around 2:00 p.m. The rest of Sunday is for hands on splicing and going over any questions. If you had to leave early on Sunday you might be called "whipped" among other things, but you will still get good value for the day.

The recent ice storm has definitely caused some major damage to the trees on the property, but I am pretty sure that we should have things at least safe if not aesthetically perfect by March. Unfortunately two of my favorite trees to sleep in sustained heavy damage and therefore have been taken off the recommended accomodations list. Hickory Heights Hotel is still up and has only spread a little bit further apart than last year. A few human cables are just what this beauty needs to begin her recovery.

Anyone else that has questions can call either me or John Hartenburg 24/7. (well 16/5 for me, but John is a bit of a nut !!)

What? Damn!!!! I was sooo looking forward to seeing you there Jesse... Is there anything I can do to help get you down here????? Anything????? Come on man!!!!!!

Well.....I could come learn the art of ice climbing and either be scared back home or earn a little cash so I can attend. Will work for splicing instruction.
Having finally read through this thread and realizing how much awesome stuff you walk with for only 175, I WILL DEFINITLY make the next one.
Besides, Rich and Toni are comming to Phoenix in 2010 for our comp so its the least I can do.

Quick question for the powers that be:

1) Should we mail the $$$ or just hand it over when we get there?

2) Likewise the waiver, send it in or show up and sign off my life?

3) Does the arboretum tour also involve booze?

Here's hoping,

Ryan
