We had it yesterday. Chris Bramblett, Cormac Nagan, And Ackalino(?) Amador
all had great climbs. Chris unfortunately got DQed due to breaking a 2" branch reaching for the top handsaw bell. Cormac and Ack both did the tree totally different but reached the ground in plenty of time and cleaned their gear flawlessly. In my opinion it will be a photo finish between those two totally amazing climbers.

Both Aquilino and Cormac had about a minute to spare. Cormac actually had less than a minute to spare. I like that it's not a speed event.

The 2013 SOTCC went great! The weather rolled around us for 3 days. I think it was the awesome energy of our head judge Christian Shultz (aka Whiz) that held off the weather.
We had a great time! Cormac Nagan took 1st with Aquilino Amador a close 2nd. Chris Bramlage rounded out the top 3. Thank you to our out of chapter climbers Matt Starks and Josh Hodson. We had 16 total climbers with 6 of them climbing on the Chapter level for the first time. Bryan McGury was the top rookie and finished 4th overall. David Raines showed true sprirt of the SOTCC and was honored with the spirit award.
Once again thank you to all of the volunteers and see you next year in Myrtle Beach!

Unfortunatley Rebecca (aka Short Bus) from GA had an injury and the docs did not release her to climb. She did great last year. Surely there are some more female climbers in the chapter that could compete.
