Thank you to all that helped make the 2012 GAA TCC a success. Thank you to all of our sponsors. Thanks to all the Judges, Vince who not only keeps score but is a universal problem solver, Techs and Volunteers. Especially to the techs that stayed in the trees for hours suffering in the cold and wind. Thanks to all the climbers who travelled from far and near. Thanks to anyone that helped and I failed to mention here.
Odis

I would just like to say Thank you to Odis, GAA, all the volunteers who helped out for hosting an amazing event, and all the sponsors who put together some nice gifts for the competitors.(treestuff, sterling rope, AW, ABR, and so on...)

Odis put together a very well run event and incredible prize packages for the winners. I saw some great talent and made new friends and hungout with some old friends and the atmosphere was killer, the comraderie among all the climbers, judges, and techs.

The techs and judges had a rough day of wind and some cool weather and didnt complain one bit and if it wasnt for them there would be no TCC!! THANK YOU!!

Big shout out to Vince for bustin his hump all day getting the scores together.

Last but not least SCOTTY!!! well deserved honor for the judge of the day. Your an animal Scotty!!

Odis,

You did a great job. I have already talked to members of the CAA-TCC to let them know how high you set the bar with the prizes and recognition to all. It was an honor to work with the team you put together. Thanks for all for the kind words (from everyone), but it is a team effort and the leadership was awesome.

Shout out to all the sponsors that make the TCC possible.
Especially North American Training Solutions -- not only the big sponsor, but Scott was there to make sure of correct answers to many of the small questions. Thanks.

Dear Sponsors and Contestants,
The Georgia Arborist Association would like to express its gratitude to those who sponsored the 15th Annual Georgia Tree Climbing Championship. Tree climbing competitions, sharing, and knowledge are dear to all of our hearts. For many of us competitions may be the only time each year we are able to unite, reconnect and begin new relationships with our Arborist community. Thank you for your generous donations. Your participation made the 15th Annual GAA TCC a successful and safe event.

Tree climbing competitions have always been more than a sporting event. During these events which take place only a few times a year, new life is inserted into old techniques. A competition becomes a round table for ideas and innovation. During these events we often hear the names of our sponsors in conversation. This includes everything from, “What is that?” and “Where did you get it?” to “I learned this technique from…”

The 2012 GAA TCC sponsors were approached because of the frequency we’ve heard your name and the solid reputation of your organization. As a sponsor for the 2012 GAA TCC your organization was promoted through the following outlets: the GAA website, social media outlets, event banners, event t-shirts, during our meetings, and called out, per prize, at the award ceremony. The event banners will be placed for the next calendar year at all GAA functions. The 2012 GAA TCC was covered by 3 news outlets. A 25 minute program will air on the local television show Spotlight on Gainesville.

In attendance we had 29 competitors from 8 states. We also had over 55 judges, technicians and volunteers from all over the country. Your sponsorship made the GAA TCC possible. The cash donations helped pay for the insurance, shirts, prizes, set up day food, water, snacks and the excellent barbecue served for lunch. The cash donations will also be used to sponsor our Male and Female Georgia champions to the Southern Chapter TCC. All prize donations were divided out between our preliminary and master’s male and female winners. This year we had the best prize packages in the 15 year history of the GAA TCC.

The City of Gainesville has graciously accepted the GAA request to host the 2013, 16th Annual GAA TCC at the Martha Hope Cabin Park. We would be honored by your presence and invite you to attend the 2013 TCC. The dates are tentatively scheduled for ninth and tenth of March 2013. Due to the support and success of this year’s competition The Georgia Arborist Association plans on holding an Arbor Camp and Conference to be held in conjunction with the 2013 GAA TCC. We hope to have continued support from you for the 2013 GAA TCC, Arbor Camp, and Conference.

We as Organizers, Judges, Technicians, Climbers, and Volunteers send our sincerest thanks,
GAA TCC Board

Awesome coveragee from TV 18 Odis. We should try to get that cut and use it in conference booths etc. It is by far the best coverage I have ever seen of an event. You must have some pull with the City up there. When the event comes to Columbus, I hope our TV folks do half as good a job as they did.
