I want everyone to know out there that there is no "deadline" that has passed for registering.

I guess there is confusion about the registration deadline. If you haven't registered, and want to compete, just send in your form to the Southern Chapter. There are plenty of spots left!

Traditionally, tree climbers wait until the last minute to register for TCCs. This is understandable especially if the climber is paying the registration fee themselves. I think the "registration deadline" is set up to encourage people to sign up early so that we can plan accordingly. This year for some reason I have gotten a lot of calls from people asking if it is too late to sign up.

It is never too late to sign up. But do it now.

We had a good day out at Sugaw Creek Park cleaning out the trees we are planning on using. We got way more done than I thought we would. The sun shone through the morning, and allowed us to get r dun.

Thanks to Eddie Simril, Bob Lubbers, Patrick Anderson, Jeff Fabian, Guy Mayor (name misspelled on purpose) and his son Philip, Obin, Peblo, and Matt Hodges.

The site is really nice, with all of the preliminary events within shouting distance of each other. Guy brought his Wraptor, which came in handy at the end of the day when Bob's rope got stuck at 80 feet in a White Oak.

aweshome!! Sounds great. Thanks guys for putting your time and energy into this great event. I can't wait. The whole A-Team is coming up from Charleston to make it a real Fun day.

OK less than two weeks to go here....

Any excitement at all out there? This is a 7 state chapter....that's almost 15% of the U.S.!

Weather will be awesome as usual.

Well, it's official. Registration for this TCC is now closed.

We have 27 climbers signed up. Boo-Ya.

If there is anybody out there that feels they should be allowed to climb in this TCC, yet they didn't take the time to register on time, send in your plea printed on the side of a Sherrill RopeBoss Deluxe bag filled with 200 feet of Snakebite Static rope, White Kask helmet, an assortment of Harrison Rocket throwbags, and a rope guide.

I AM SO STOKED RIGHT NOW MAN THANKS FOR GETTING ME PUMPED!!!
But my big toe is not stoked due to a freak break dancing injury sustained this weekend at the Ramada. By game day I hope to upgrade my status from fractured to just "tender", and able to rule the day the way I planned to.
Right now I'm just focusing on icing it down so it wont be so purple. I'm also working on staying positive and not blaming myself even though it may have been a bad idea to do the worm in flip-flops. Any time you have an athlete like me who's also is into "break'n" your'e gonna have some off the field injuries.

I would call the move that broke your toe the "Dolphin" before I would call it the "Worm".

Either way, I got it on video, and you can see the exact moment when your toe slammed down onto the cheap indoor/outdoor carpeting in the hallway of the Ramada.

I sure hope your toe becomes slightly less purple and swollen by next Sunday. But I doubt it will. I feel your pain my only brother. My toe hurts for your toe.
