175 Ton Knuckleboom

another photo. The load cell readout box shows the weight of the pick. I wish it showed peak force like a dyno

S'more. setting the top down in the drive, between the trees and couldn't swing toward the lines (look at all the insulators) kept the main boom angle low to stay well away from wires & ran the jib knuckle 20 degrees over center to clear the house

At 80 foot radius my crane is good for 6600 lbs (or more) I picked this pine log at 80 feet the other day (it felt like a toothpick) Hey Bostonbull, the hook height for that pick could be 2 feet or 40 feet without noticing much difference

That's one nice piece of equipement(understated).
Can I come play with that....errr....work for you!
I would love to see more pics, do you have web site for you company, I couldn't find one with goggle or anything.

The spiderlegs helped hold the pieces to slip under the trees/obstacles(couldn't set the picks in the street-too busy) Loading logs was a little tricky too

Thanks for the added photos Mike! That last photo: I can see you made the pick and then extended the jib. Hence, the playing with the jib...

How far does your jib extend?
