Here's a Chestnut that we pruned in Italy. Big dead top. I had to speedline it out to preserve the good growth.

Nope. Man this is tougher than I thought. How about a hint: This tree is found in the wild in my zone when they're young .

How big is that one? There largest I've seen is about 15 foot.

American Chestnut, and it usually gets killed by blight before it gets too big.

funny , I had the wrong name. we have alot of American chestnuts here . Infact I was just looking at one today and told myself, man ! I could have swore thats what Mark posted.
