    What New Zealand tree was this?

    Any ideas on what this wood is/tree was? Based in South Island, NZ. I was pretty sure it was macrocarpa but my neighbor reckons it's gum. It had been down for 5 years before I recently pulled it up out of our gully and sliced it up. That beautiful chainsaw is my Husky 450 :love:
