Not very floppy tho. I tried a belt one time that had them fixed. Tried swinging through a fairly tight Y going pretty fast. Those fixed D's, encountered tree trunk on both sides of me and stopped me dead. Kind of embarrassing/painful. Once in a lifetime thing but I didn't like them after that.- August Hunicke

Joe really likes those. They are there for people who wear their pads lower and like to keep them in position once they have them where they want them. I wear my pads all the way up so I don't really need the secondary buckle but it's there. Different ways to wear this saddle.- August Hunicke
