    Cutting groves works as well. Usually just a small one on each side for the half hitch. Then just tie the bowline above like normal. Had the same thing happen to me before

    Ha, that was a fun one. Think that was the fastest I ever got out of a tree. Still got stung like 6 times. I didn't even see the nest till I started getting stung. My escape was not graceful, but it was quick.

    The cams do wear out. Like Ryan said I replace mine like every 3 years or so. Real pain in the ass when ur buckstrap warts creeping while u r making a cut.
