It has a tightly woven cover that makes it really nice for mechanical interface. Does not have great knotability or hand, which isn't as important since it's usually a stationary or access line. I like it. Just know I like a lot of ropes; I have a lot of ropes and I switch them up a lot.
If I'm understanding this correctly, the descent system tied into the double ascenders..I could see a stopper safety knot being required under the doubled ascenders if that then becomes the primary floating TIP. Or would this be the secondary and thus not such an issue?
Another thing to consider is to wreck it from the ground without felling. I don't know if you have that kind of situation, but sometimes one can remotely set XRR and remotely tie off the top, or a piece and use force to pull or pull apart. If the tree is so dead that it's a hazard to climb...

I am moving on from these lines due to no fault of their own. Extremely lightly used, in fact almost no use. I bought them because I used to work for NATS and TF was a rope partner and I needed to have TF products when we did any photo or video shoots, and because TF didn't supply kit upon...
Moss, I think you'd like the zigzag as well as any other mechanical hitch system because it feels most like rope on rope in my opinion. A lot depends on where and how one climbs. Here in the upper midwest we have trees that tend towards being as broad as they are tall, and a more dense than...
