New saddle time. What’s your rec climb choice.?

I have a Petzl Seqouia 2019 non-SRT. It’s way too big now. I made some money doing tree work so, I’m going to buy a proper fitting one. I’m thinking about the Sequoia again but, not sure of the difference between the SRT and regular one. I climb SRT and DRT. Also, wondering if you folks had a dedicated rec climbing saddle/harness, what would it be? I want comfort. Since tree work is secondary, I don’t need all the loops and such. I do however want upper/lower D’s for tree work. What should I be looking at? Thanks Craig

Treemotion S. Light. Still one of the best saddles on the planet, and Maple leaf ropes has them for $370. Done.

Check out the buckles on the TM Light before you buy it to make sure they don't drive you nuts. They are not enjoyable to adjust.
Petzl harnesses come in several sizes so if you like that, you could get a size smaller and be g2g.

I'm still looking. The TM looks like a step through and a slider buckle. The Petzl SRT is off my list because of the step through. I would also, like to hear what folks don't like about the Seqouia 2019 non-SRT saddle. I have the size 2 and the Ds are too close since I lost about 50lbs about 3 years ago.

I have only experience with the Sequoia. I usually unbuckle the waist to put it on. I will step through sometimes but, it seems easier to unbuckle with all the "work junk" weighing down. I'm doing more tree work now and I need to consider that. (Climbed and trimmed 4 trees yesterday) I guess I need to give more consideration to different saddles. I'm probably looking for some the same things you professionals are...comfort, equipment loops and work positioning.

Not a problem at all. Just something that is notable about the Light. The first time I used one of those, I knew it would bother me significantly.

I have the sequoia srt, and I really don't mind the step through unless I leave my harness equipped. I strip down my harness after a climb, as the trees and jobs vary, and I like to always know where everything is, and my system for that is to always put everything back in its box, bag, or cubby.
