What are the best Scissors ?

I have spent a bunch of money buying really nice sewing scissors only to have our fancy ropes ruin them. Are there scissors on the market made specifically for our very abrasive type ropes? I am tired of buying expensive scissors only to have them last a month.

Apparent vascular wilt of american beech?????

Thanks Y'all. This customer really loves his beech trees, and he is very concerned about it being a persistent problem. It is always my impression that vascular wilts are serious problems that will over come the tree in most situations, which makes me want to attack the problem chemically...

Apparent vascular wilt of american beech?????

That's what it looks like! I've noticed it on a lot of other beech trees too, and I imagine systemic fungicides would help. I am always weary of systemic treatments of trees that are also wild food crops for wild life though... Has anyone experimented with "Neem cake"? It's a soil additive...

Apparent vascular wilt of american beech?????

That didn't work. Let me try these. Also, the symptom has spread quite rapidly to the rest of the tree, and I have now noticed symptoms on a nearby beech as well. We have had quite a rainy year, but this is a mountain side site with good drainage and no site disturbance.

Apparent vascular wilt of american beech?????

I have a beech tree that is showing necrosis along the leaf veins, and I cannot seem to find a disease that fits the description. Most wilts seem not to follow the veins such as this... Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
