    2023 Contract Climber Rates?

I'd be real curious the ages of the guys pushing the poor me I need to make as much as the people taking all the risks. But curiosity is what got me to start this thread. So I'll just go ahead and assume at this point.

    2023 Contract Climber Rates?

Working hard is part of the job, just like all the other things you mentioned. Try finding someone like that these days, at least up here. So yes I do get paid extra for that piece of mind knowing that I'll be there every day I'm contracted 20 min early ready to work hard, get work done safely...

    2023 Contract Climber Rates?

I respectfully disagree. I've never had a contractor rush me. 3 scenarios can happen then, one something gets broken, two someone gets hurt, three it would be my last time working with them. As for the contract climber side, if you're not treating it exactly like you would do if it were...

    2023 Contract Climber Rates?

There was no flex here, I was just truly curious as to what others were charging. I'm guessing this is why it's so taboo for contract climbers to talk about rates in forums. Now back to work peasants... I'm going to count all my money

    2023 Contract Climber Rates?

My initial reasoning behind charging more was because not every climber does crane removals/does them well. I thought it more of a specialized skill and most of all people would pay it.

    2023 Contract Climber Rates?

The more I hear prices, we must be in the land of milk and honey up here! Lol No joke when I started back in 2005 the company I worked for gave every crew (4 crews) 5k worth of work every day and we didn't come back till it was finished. They were 4 to 5 man crews though, but still back in...

    2023 Contract Climber Rates?

I don't have expenses to justify that cost. I have a skill set that when I show up no one else has on the job. At least that's with the companies I work with. If you have that particular skill set why hire me/contract climber? Do it yourself. Cranes are much more an hour here, so I'm not close...

    2023 Contract Climber Rates?

I'd like to see a job you guys bid (price wise) that would be 8 hours of craning and you're not bidding 10k plus. 1,400 is a drop in the bucket at that point.

    2023 Contract Climber Rates?

That is sad. The amount of skill and knowledge it takes to contract climb but more so the wear and tear on our bodies. $400 to me isn't worth it, I'd find another job.

    2023 Contract Climber Rates?

I'm guessing ghost. From what I understand it covers the company I'm working for so they're not liable for me. I could be wrong on that, I just got it because companies were asking for it.

Two guys, plus me, chipper truck and mini. Average 5k a day, crane work average is closer to 7 to 8k

    Climber/forman positions in MN

Would a good company to work for work you till 7pm on a friday night and when you get back say you have to leave to go to texas the next morning at 7am, or else you will lose your job. Absolutely no notice before that time and then have the nerve to say you will make bonuses, so you work extra...

    Salary versus hourly

Just wondering about the whole salary thing? I have been salary for a short time so i haven't had to deal with any real long hours yet but in the summers past our salary guys start at 6 am and cant leave till the last crew gets in which is usually 7 pm. They get nothing for staying later, just...

    Salary versus hourly

I'm not sure where all of you are from but in the nothern midwest we get this thing called snow and people tend to forget about their trees so work really slows down and hourly tend to get little hours so if u want to make it in this part of the U.S. there is no other way to go but salary.
